MEET THE STAFF

SENIOR PASTOR

Kip is the Senior Pastor of New Life Fellowship in Lynden, Washington, and a chaplain for the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office. In 2009, Kip retired from the military after 28 years of service as an Army active duty colonel, intelligence officer, and Foreign Area Officer (Russia/Eastern Europe; Balkans; Northeast Asia). An experienced pastor, Kip has both a Master of Divinity degree and a PhD in Biblical Studies. Additionally, he also has a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Master's degree in Soviet and East European Studies from Kansas University. Kip combines his military service experience as a senior officer, former U.S. Military Academy (West Point) instructor, and intelligence professional with his desire to equip and encourage others in their walk with Christ. Kip and Linda have been married more than 30 years. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Rich is the Associate Pastor of New Life Fellowship in Lynden, WA. Rich retired from the Washington State Patrol in 1997 after 25 years as a State Trooper. Following retirement, Rich then formed a company that provided drug and alcohol training as well as testing services. He served as CEO for 25 years, selling the company in 2022, at which time he pursued further education. Rich holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University, and a Master of Biblical and Theological Studies degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. Rich graduated from the National Police and Fire Chaplains Academy in Spokane, WA, and served as a volunteer chaplain for the Washington State Patrol. Rich and his wife of more than 50 years, Linda, have three grown children and six grandchildren. Additionally, Rich and Linda have experienced various mission and medical trips to Latin America, the Amazon Jungle, and South Africa.
